Cameron Diaz was ready and willing to do her own stunts in Knight And Day. The 37-year-old, who stars in the action comedy with Tom Cruise, loved getting her hands - and feet - dirty as she prepared for her moves, which included spinning cars to sitting astride her co-star on a speeding motorcycle.

"I love training for fight sequences - it's a week of getting bruises, cuts and sprains, but it's also a lot of fun," she said. "When I went to the Golden Globes this year in the middle of filming Knight And Day, I had lumps up and down my arms and scraped knees. I loved it!"

Cameron Diaz thinks 'Knight and Day' helped her through her grief at losing her father. The 37-year-old actress was left devastated when her dad Emilio died of pneumonia in April 2008 during filming of drama 'My Sister's Keeper' and admits took on the role opposite Tom Cruise because she was desperate to have some "fun" afterwards.

She explained: "I'd spent a year in grief with my family and I just wanted to have some fun and go on a great adventure. "I wanted to spend some time just having a laugh without it being something heavy." The blonde beauty admitted she always bases her movie choices on things she likes, rather than how they can help her career.

She added: "I've always made movies for my own pleasure. I've never made decisions based on any sort of trajectory for my career." Cameron recently expressed her sadness at voicing her 'Shrek' character Princess Fiona for the fourth and final time. She said: I'm going to miss Fiona a lot. She's become a part of me."

Cameron Diaz is a star, and yeah, we hear a lot about her… but the truth is, she really doesn’t make a lot of movies  not by Hollywood standards, at least.　 Since the year 2000, she’s only gone in front of the camera for 12 movies, not including her “Shrek” voiceover work.

While watching the new Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz spy thriller “Knight and Day,” I kept flashing back to Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint .

In Alfred Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest” and Grant and Audrey Hepburn in Stanley Donen’s “Charade,” the best Hitchcock movie that Hitchcock never made.

This is not surprising, since “Knight and Day,” directed by James Mangold and written by Patrick O’Neill, draws heavily on both of them.

But, ah – what a difference. Those movies had a deftness and wit that propelled the action and enhanced the romance.

Cameron Diaz wishes she had given Fiona in 'Shrek' a British accent. The US actress - who has voiced ogress Fiona in all four of the movies  would have rid herself of her Californian accent had.

She known the green-skinned character's parents were being voiced by Julie Andrews and John Cleese in the second film.

She said: "If I had known that Fiona's parents both had British accents when I first started - that they were being voiced by Julie Andrews and John Cleese.

I might have, you know.because when I first started the movie, when I did my voice, I didn't know who was playing my parents.

20th Century Fox has released the first photo for their new upcoming star studded flick KNIGHT AND DAY which stars Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie Grace, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, and is directed by James Mangold.

Knight & Day Synopsis: An action-comedy centered on a fugitive couple (Cruise and Diaz) on a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they seem. Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth vs. trust. Knight & Day will be released to theaters on June 25, 2010.

Cameron Diaz doesn’t want anyone to know she is princess Fiona in Shrek. The actress voices the ginger haired green Ogress in the film series, but doesn’t like people to tell their children, so as to keep the mystery of her character alive.

Speaking at the premiere of ‘Shrek Forever After’ at the Tribeca film festival in New York, Cameron told People.com: “When parents say to their kids, ‘This is Princess Fiona,’ I just tell them, ‘Let the mystery and the fantasy live within them. Let them believe that Princess Fiona is actually real.”

Looking absolutely stunning, Cameron Diaz sizzled in a blue minidress while out in New York City on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old actress was escorted in and out of Le Colonial restaurant.

As she grabbed up lunch with actor Mike Myers. As for the reason behind the midday meetup.

Cameron and Mike are currently spending time in the Big Apple for the Tribeca screening of "Shrek Forever After".

When we first watched the trailer for "Knight and Day," we wondered whether.

Tom Cruise was really acting, or instead just revisiting the loopy persona he's established over the last couple of years.

In the new film, out in June, Cruise plays Milner, a government agent who takes June (Cameron Diaz) out on a blind date.

Soon, June discovers that Milner may have been hiding his true identity and she is pulled into his dangerous globe-trotting adventures.
