It’s Cameron Diaz and she’s hot to trot with a nice English boyfriend. The star of There’s Something About Mary and My Best Friend’s Wedding fell in love with London after falling out of love with American baseball player Alex Rodriguez, her squeeze for two years; and there’s talk that she’s now looking for a true Brit to assist her with her press-ups.

“She’s so excited about being in London and just loves English guys,” chirrups a chum. “She thinks the accent is so cool and hopes to meet a real gentleman, especially one who likes yoga.” (This may be a problem. There are few gents left and even fewer who can put their right foot over their left ear).
It may well be true that while Miss Diaz is also keeping her apartment in New York, she has had enough of American men, after dating commitment-shy boys such as Matt Dillon and Justin Timberlake. So she will have to rely on her new neighbours in North London, such as Jude Law (with whom she starred in the rom-com Holiday), to introduce her to a fine, upstanding Englishman.
Of course she had her chance several years ago, when she shared a margarita with me at the post-Oscars Vanity Fair party at Morton’s in Los Angeles. I thought she had enjoyed herself but, strangely, there was no second date. Her loss. Obviously.
